Harry Potter!

It has been so long since I last blogged that I am not even going to try to catch up, I am just going to go with "the now". Actually it's more like "the last month". In September, my lovely sister Heather and my lovely niece Kirsten flew out to Mississippi from Utah and we took a road trip to Orlando. One of the "milestones" we scheduled during Phil's deployment was a trip to Harry Potter World and it was so much fun!
We left on Tuesday the 6th and arrived after driving all day. We stayed at a wonderful three bedroom condo that was perfect for us because we could put the kids to bed in their own rooms and still stay up ourselves, if the mood struck. Much better than a hotel room!
The next day we woke up and drove to Universal Studios. We had a three day park hopper pass and were excited to use it! We headed to Hogsmead and here are some of the things we saw:

Here we are in front of the Hogwarts Express!

We went to Zonko's Joke Shop

We went to Honeydukes (more on that later)

We had some butterbeer (it was delicious)

We went to the castle.

We even talked to the Sorting Hat (I'm pretty sure we would have all been in Gryffindor)

As you can tell from the change of clothes, we went back to the Wizarding World on Friday (which also happened to be my birthday). We ate lunch at the Tree Broomsticks and I got the kids some Honeydukes candy and some wands. For some unknown reason, I don't have a picture of the kids with their wands. Maybe Heather will take pity on me and send me one that she took. IN the mean time, here are a few more pics.

The Three Broomsticks (don't ask me what is on Jocelyn's head)

Buying sweets at Honeydukes

Yummy!

I didn't even know there was a Harry Potter World!! That would be so cool to take my daughter to!

Oh - since you've been out of the blogging loop - I changed my blog address - it's now johnsonmadness.blogspot.com instead of valejohnsons.blogspot.com

Time to catch up! hehehe

That looks like so much fun! Everything seems to have an "authentic" spirit to it. Looks like they spared no expense to make it a memorable experience for lucky visitors. I love the time-turner Heather got me...too bad it doesn't work! I could use a few more hours in the day!
