Cutest passport picture ever!!

Image
Most of us hate our passport pictures, and our driver's license pictures, and . . . well, you know. This boy, however, has nothing of which to be ashamed because, let's face it people, he is too darn cute!

Dinner Time fun

Image
I have been feeding Chase real food these days, as the boy is now six months old. He couldn't figure it our at first and everything I put in his mouth ended up on his shirt. Now, however he has finally got the hang of it. He loves rice cereal and hates cream of wheat. Bananas went over well as did apple sauce. It is fun start introducing him to new foods and seeing the reactions on his expressive little face. Here we are at dinner the other night. We were eating spaghetti and Chase was enjoying some rice cereal. This was the first night that he was actually able to eat most of his food instead of spitting it back at me. In the big boy chair Here comes the airplane Joslyn likes to help Caleb already has this eatig thing down . . . well, mostly

Six Months old!

It is that time again. Time to post a picture of my sweet baby and wonder why the time seems to be flying by! Six months, WOW!

A day in the life of Caleb

Image
A couple of days ago I followed Caleb around and recorded (via the camera) some of his daily activities. I thought it was pretty funny, so I'll share with the rest of you. Put Vaseline in cup? Check! Throw stuff on the stairs? Check! Cars on fridge? Check! Line cars up on couch? Check! Help Joslyn pick up game? Check! Hide car under bush outside? Check! Whew, what a busy day, and that wasn't even the half of it!

First Day of School

Well, it's that time of year again. The time that kids dread and parents rejoice. School time! This year Nathan is in third grade, while Joslyn gets to go through kindergarten. She wanted to move on to first grade since she did the pre-K program last year and it was offered to us, but Phil and I decided that since she is so young and all the kids her age on the mainland are just now starting kindergarten, we would keep her with her age group. She seems OK with that now that school has started and she is making new friends and likes her new teacher. Nathan got lucky and has a lot of his friends from 2nd grade in his class this year. His teacher seems nice but firm, so that is good. He is excited to learn to write in cursive this year. They are both taking the bus again and we have made a deal that they can eat school lunch once a week, so that makes them happy to get a change every once and a while. I am happy because I get to have a little peace during the day, especially

Nathan's Baptism

Image
Nathan got baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on August 1, 2009. The baptism was preformed by his father and was held in the Mililani Hawaii Stake Center. It was so wonderful to see how excited Nathan was for his baptism and we were so pleased with his decision to follow the example of Jesus Christ. The program was a bit long, but the Spirit was there and we got through it with only a few escape attempts by Caleb and a few complaints of "Are they done yet?" from Joslyn. The Stake asks that you not make a big to do afterward so that the focus can be on the kids and the ordinance and not the party after, so we told Nathan that we would take him out to eat wherever he wanted. Yep, we went to Chucky Cheese. That was OK though because the kids got to play and relieve some of the pent up energy that sitting for an hour and a half had stored up in their little bodies. It was a great day and one of many such milestones to be enjoyed. All dressed in w

Happy Birthdy Nathan!

Nathan had his eighth birthday a couple of weeks ago. We had a little party for him with cake and ice cream and a few friends. Then we went to go see "Up" at the theater down at Pearl Harbor. It was a fun day and he was so excited to be turning eight.
