Catch up time!
I was just looking through all of the pictures we took last year and as I got closer to the end of the year I noticed that there were a bunch of pictures that I had intended to put on the blog that never made it, so I'm having a "do over" moment for November and December
Pies aplenty, pies galore
First I have to post a picture of all of the fabulous, yummy pies that I made for Thanksgiving dinner. They turned out so delicious that I have to brag a bit. I made eight (I think) and I had so much fun it occurred to me that I should take orders next year.
The closest two are the cherry and apple. They were my favorites.
"And you're just a good citizen helping out."
Also in November, Joslyn got awarded the "Good Citizen" award at school. She was very happy and Phil and I were able to go to the little ceremony held on the front lawn. Yeah Joslyn!
Six years old!
Next I want jump into December and put up some pictures of Joslyn's birthday party. I asked her what she wanted to do for her party this year and she said that she wanted a sleepover. I told her that if she wanted to do that she could only invite three girls, because that was all I could handle. We did a "Fancy Nancy" party and all the girls dressed up. We ate pizza and had cake and ice cream. The girls slept down stairs and stayed up very late. The next morning we ate waffles and opened presents. Joslyn had a great time and was very happy, which made all the screaming worth it . . . well almost.
This is what happens when there are four little girls in the house!
cake . . .
and presents!
Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree . . .
Chase was fascinated by the Christmas tree. He loved touching the lights and pulling on all the shiny things that were hung with such care. Too much temptation for the little guy!
Destructo Boy and the dastardly sticky hand!
Last but not least, I had to share the latest in the Destructo Boy saga. This Christmas, Destructo Boy discovered the joy of candy canes. He loved them so very much and didn't care that they would leave his hands and fingers covered with their sticky deliciousness. I found more of these than I care to remember.
You could say that I caught the boy red handed.
